Precision Engineering provided DCS Configuration, Controls Engineering, Instrument Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Piping Design, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Checkout Services and Startup Services for a DCS Upgrade Project at a CF Industries UREA Plant in Donaldsonville, LA. The UREA Plant primarily had pneumatic controls and was upgraded to DCS (Yokogawa) control. The project included configuring/installing a new DCS, configuring/installing a new SIS, replacing all field instruments, installing new power distribution (including new UPS's), installation of a new control room, installation of new piping (primarily for new flow and level instrumentation), etc. The project included DCS configuration of approximately 1,500 I/O, SIS (Yokogawa Prosafe) configuration of approximately 300 I/O and specificaton/installation of over 1,000 new field instruments.
