Precision Engineering provided full service multi-discipline engineering for a new Generator Assembly Plant for GE Power in Pensacola, Florida. GE Power purchased an existing production facility in Pensacola, FL in order to have a second generator production facility (GE Power has a generator production facility in Schenectady, NY). This project was executed from September 2001 through April 2003. Precision Engineering's scope of work included Project Management, Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Instrument, Electrical Engineering, and construction management for a new $70MM, total installed cost, generator assembly plant. The plant was designed to manufacture bars and punches for 400MW generators. Precision Engineering provided conceptual design, front end loading, detail engineering design and management of construction services. The engineering services for this project were over 24,000 man hours.
