Project involves reinstrumentation of Crude # 1 Unit as well as relocating Crude # 1 Control Room outside of the refinery blast zone. Precision Engineering provided project management, I & E engineering, DCS configuration, purchasing and construction management (EPCM) for the reinstrumentation of Crude # 1 Unit at Shell's Refinery in Mobile, AL. The project consists of replacing the existing pneumatic controls for approximately 700 instruments. The project used INtools to develop the instrumentation specifications and construction package. The engineering included configuration for over 800 I/O points communicating via Foundation Fieldbus, custom graphics and hot cutover. The project also consists of building a new control room outside of the refinery blast zone. Total Installation Cost - $12.0 MM+
