Shell Chemical in Geismar, LA had a production unit with six batch production lines that were being controlled with Modicon PLC's and a Wonderware Operator Interface. This project included replacing the existing control system with a Honeywell Experion DCS. Precision Engineering furnished configuration for over 1,300 I/O points, reinstrumentation of over 200 instruments, loop check support, construction management and start-up support. The project also included extensive batch configuration utilizing Honeywell's Total Plant Batch. Total Installation Cost- $3.0 MM
