Senior Control Systems Engineer responsible for the design and implementation of process control and monitoring systems, and data collection and information systems. Projects include: project management for a new control room project and a reinstrumentation project at a refinery. 1994 - 2005 Process Controls Project Engineer for Degussa Corporation, Theodore, AL. Degussa is a worldwide chemical manufacturer with over 40 sites throughout North America, the Theodore, AL complex being the largest with more than 15 production units. Responsible for design and implementation of process controls, safety instrumented systems (SIS) and plant data collection projects. Assignments ranged from new plants and major expansions to de-bottlenecking and DCS replacements. Significant projects included grass-roots sodium polysulfide plants, a polyether plant and a Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (AMEO) plant; expansions of a cationizing reagent plant, a precipitated silica plant and a plastics plant; reactivation of a super absorber plant; and various DCS replacement and SIS retrofit and plant data collection projects. Also responsible for implementing ISA/ANSI S84.01 safety lifecycle, including risk assessment and SIL assignment into project standards and plant management systems. 1991 to 1994 Control Systems Engineer for Lockwood Greene Engineers, Mobile, AL. Responsible for control system design and managing project design teams. Significant projects included a grass-roots sodium cyanide plant, expansion of a Methionine production plant and reactivation/DCS upgrade of a fertilizer production facility. 1991 to 1991 Application sales Engineer for John H.
