Mechanical Engineer and Construction Manager for multiple projects. Projects include mechanical/piping design for Rosin Plant modifications at Hercules Inc in Hattiesburg, MS and HVAC/plumbing design for a large condominium project. 2003 to 2005 Professional engineer for Clark, Geer and Latham, Inc in Mobile, AL. Responsibilities include HVAC design and plumbing for commercial and residential projects. Projects included Schools, Office Buildings, Retail Stores and Residential. 1994 to 2003 Worked as a professional engineer for Lyle Stover Engineering, Inc in Mobile, AL. Designed equipment and piping systems for chemical plants, paper mills and shipyards. Tasks included P&ID development, equipment specifications, and piping design. Designed HVAC and plumbing for commercial projects. 1990 to 1994 Mechanical Engineer for Farnell and Associates in Mobile, AL. Primarily designed equipment and piping layouts for chemical plants. Design was developed using Microstation or AutoCAD. Developed a method that allowed an orthographic view to be manipulated to an ISO; this allowed our cad symbols to be more consistent and saved on drawing time when developing ISO and spool drawings. 1988 to 1990 Worked as a Maintenance Engineer for Milliken and Company in LaGrange, GA. Managed a 10-man maintenance crew for the plant. In addition, I developed a method that allowed creel changes to be made on the run without stopping the machinery. The company was able to eliminate the 30 minutes of downtime it was taking to change out yarn and was able to save thousands of dollars in yarn each month. |
